God of the living and of the departed,

You desire only that we find happiness in You.

Your Son, Jesus

came to our world,

and shouldered the cross of suffering.

We pray for all who struggle in any way

And we remember especially

those who are trying to cope

with an invisible and lonely pain

which they carry in their mind or heart.

May Your Holy Spirit

inspire us to support our sisters and brothers

who suffer mental illness.

And may that same Spirit sustain us, all the days of our life.

We ask this in the name of Jesus, our brother. Amen.
